Welcome to the Church Lyrics Database! This database provides an easy way of accessing the overhead projection files for hymn and other song lyrics. These lyrics are used in worship by the Slavic Evangelical Pentecostal Churches in Australia.
Using the Church Lyrics Database is easy!
If you know the number of the song you wish to project, such as hymn 90 (Всевышнему слава!), click on the appropriate link on the top row (in this case, Hymns), then type “90” in the text box and press Enter. The database will automatically check whether lyrics exist in both Russian and English and open that version if so. You should now find the lyrics open in a background window, ready to be projected onto the screen. Done!
If you know only the name of the song, such as Не знаю, почему открыт or I Know Whom I Have Believed, click on the appropriate link from the top row (here, Hymns), then use the “Jump to a letter” box to jump to the first letter of the song name (in this case, either the Cyrillic letter “Н” or the Latin letter “I”). Next, scroll down until you find the song in the index. Clicking on the number next to the entry (here, 585) will open the Russian version; select “R+E” to open the dual-language Russian and English version.
If you don’t know where the song is located: whether it is a hymn, chorus, from The Source or elsewhere, simply use the Global Index: this lists every song in the database.
This version of the Church Lyrics Database contains a total of 2016 lyric files with 2276 index entries. It was released on 15th November, 2024.
