Companion CD-ROM: utils/basecalc directory

Base Calculator Screen Shot

The utils/basecalc directory contains the Base Calculator utility application, a very useful tool for working with integer numbers in decimal, hexadecimal, octal and binary. This full-featured calculator provides you with not only all of the usual mathematical operations, such as addition and multiplication, but also a plethora of logical operations. Furthermore, Base Calculator allows you to deal with numbers of up to 128 bits in size — perfect when programming or when learning how to program!

As well as being one of the best integer calculators available, Base Calculator provides you with additional value: the complete, documented source code (written in Borland Delphi, an object-oriented version of Pascal) is supplied as part of the application. This allows you to modify Base Calculator to suit your specific purposes (please see the Licence for the conditions placed on you if you do so). This value is your’s since Base Calculator is licensed as free software under the GNU General Public License.

Installing Base Calculator is very easy: simply follow the installation instructions!
